As gas prices and interests rates climb the register, the amount that American workers can expect to pay for health insurance is also taking a hike. It is estimated that health insurance costs for companies will increase 6.4 percent next year. As a result of this increase, individual employees are likely to experience a hike not only in their average health-care coverage premium, but also in out-of-pocket costs.
The average worker in the United States can expect to lose approximately $300 per month. As for companies, they are expected to see an increase in annual health insurance costs of up to $8,863 per employee in 2009.
