FRESNO, Ca -Fresno Pacific University is facing a law suit from a former administrator who claims that he was fired after making a complaint about a female co-worker who wanted a romantic relationship with him.
In the suit filed by Fresno Pacific’s former director of financial aid, the plaintiff states that he is a victim of wrongful termination, breach of contract, defamation and relatiation for reporting sexual harassment. According to a spokeswoman for the university, the school terminated the plaintiff for legitimate reasons for which it plans to defend.
The lawsuit alleges that the schools Controller Emily LaRue told the plaintiff several times that she wanted to have a “closer relationship” with him. The plaintiff understood these to be sexual advances, which he rejected. He then complained to the university’s director of human resources that LaRue had created a hostile work environment.
